  • River Valleys Unified School District, Retired
  • Windham Central Supervisory Union, Retired
  • Vermont School Boards Association Board, Retired

Marc moved to Vermont from New York City in 2015 seeking a healthier and more relaxed lifestyle. Shortly thereafter, Marc became interested in the local school board and the Act 46 process. Marc joined the newly merged River Valleys Unified School District in 2019 and also served on the Windham Central Supervisory Union Board.

Marc has a diverse background that has helped shape his views and taught him the importance of keeping an open mind and listening to all perspectives before drawing conclusions. In 1995 Marc was a student at the University of Michigan and was hired by the athletic departments sports information department to develop the first collegiate sports website to feature live statistics. Prior and during his time in Ann Arbor, Marc was a volunteer firefighter and EMT, which led him to a career as a NYC Paramedic. After being injured on the job, Marc moved full time into the IT world as a network engineer specializing in email system design and security for the financial industry.

Looking for a more fulfilling lifetime job/career, in 2013 Marc founded and is now the president of the 501(c)3 non-profit, The Emergency Medical Services Fund, Inc. Its mission is to help support volunteer ambulance services provide all of their communities with the same level of service that’s expected from paid services in large metropolitan areas. Prior to moving to Vermont, Marc closed his IT business in order to pursue other interests including devoting more time to The EMS Fund. Marc also enjoys working with some small startup businesses by providing mentorship and financial investment.

In 2022 Marc was the Director of Vermont’s first dedicated Emergency Medical Services Training Academy, responsible for building the academy and opening VEMSA, Vermont EMS Academy, part of Rescue Inc.  VEMSA, located in Newfane, VT, is Vermont’s premier EMS training service, offering classes for all levels as well as tactical and water rescue.
