Alison Notte

Director, Treasurer

Alison Notte is entering her eighth year as a member of the Rutland City Board of School Commissioners. As a community member and parent she became interested in how she could help support our schools. Alison believes that quality education should be accessible and equitable for all our children. School should be a welcoming place that encourages growth for all.

Alison has served as President of the school board, Chair of the negotiations team, as well as on the Policy, Facilities, and Finance committees. During her time on the school board Alison has strived for equity and student voice. An early action was working with administration to allow middle school students the ability to select foreign language. She also supported students request to fly the Black Lives Matter Flag and investigate racial bias in our schools. Alison helped facilitate implicit bias training for all board members and administration. The schools have furthered this series among all employees. She engaged the school board and administration to form a Diversity and Equity counsel to further evaluate our schools. Alison grabbed the opportunity to engage with CVTSE to pursue equity in state wide education funding.

Alison grew up in Rutland, VT later attending the the University of Rhode Island to study Pharmacy. She lived and worked in Rhode Island and New Hampshire before returning to the Green Mountain State in 2010. Professionally, Alison is a cardiology clinic based Ambulatory Care Pharmacist at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Home life is quite busy and shared with her husband, 3 children and plenty of pets.
